David Bennett: 24 degrees this morning in 'bama Mar 19, 2023 7:12:44 GMT -5
David Bennett: 24 degrees again this morning in north Alabamy Mar 20, 2023 6:50:41 GMT -5
johnknopf: Come up North, where it's a balmy 38 degrees. Mar 20, 2023 7:37:24 GMT -5
clawhammer7: Come down South to East Texas, where it was 34 degrees this morning (warming-up to 53)..... Mar 20, 2023 12:22:13 GMT -5
clawhammer7: Happy Twosday, y'all...the day where all must be said and done in Two's.......Happy Twosday, y'all...the day where all must be said and done in Two's....... Mar 21, 2023 2:30:14 GMT -5
kenh: Had me an official Stress Test yesterday. Guess I passed, I'm still here. The most stressful bit, as a Type II diabetic, was not eating anything for like 16 or 18 hours... Mar 21, 2023 6:01:51 GMT -5
clawhammer7: Glad you're still here with us, Ken...you oughta come here for those stress tests...only gotta fast for 8-12 hours, and they'll get you in early 'cause you're diabetic. Mar 21, 2023 7:55:55 GMT -5
johnknopf: That don't sound like major fun, fellers. Neither does colonoscopy prep. Or barium scan prep. YAAAAHHHH!!!! Mar 21, 2023 16:58:40 GMT -5
richard: A lot of the things they poke and prod in the name of medicine for us seniors are not a lot of fun. But they can keep the old body plodding along with the help of all that. Mar 21, 2023 19:11:12 GMT -5
johnknopf: Sure, but there's always the risk of losing one's mental faculties long before the body finally gives up. I've seen it, sadly. The old-timers were gone in their forties, fifties and sixties (if they were lucky). "Geriatrics" must have been unknown then! Mar 21, 2023 21:01:18 GMT -5
clawhammer7: That's very true, John, but there are others who remain sharp...my buddy's dad just celebrated his 100th birthday, and he's got it all together. Mar 22, 2023 7:49:54 GMT -5
johnknopf: An exceptional exception to the rule, Claw! My mom sang with musicians in their eighties, nineties and hundreds. One fiddler made it to 104, I believe. And a pianist made it past 100 as well, and both were sharp as a tack! Not common though. Mar 22, 2023 9:39:41 GMT -5
clawhammer7: Well, John, I'm in my seventies, and my mind is as sharp as a well-used butter knife..... Mar 22, 2023 11:12:17 GMT -5
kenh: Watch out for those butter knives Claw, you can give yourself a serious bruise with one of those! Mar 23, 2023 6:03:40 GMT -5
johnknopf: A certain butter-knife I know has a birthday today! Not giving out any names, but think of clawhammers... Mar 23, 2023 7:37:50 GMT -5
clawhammer7: Thanks, guys! All I can think about is butter knives giving me bruises..... Mar 23, 2023 8:37:36 GMT -5
kenh: Happy Bruise Day Claw!! Mar 23, 2023 21:46:42 GMT -5
clawhammer7: Thanks, Kenh! Mar 24, 2023 1:01:32 GMT -5
johnknopf: Happy Rainday, everybody. Or Chillday, or Darkday. And IADD, too. You're obligated to dulcimorize today! Mar 25, 2023 8:31:01 GMT -5
clawhammer7: It must be dark, chilly, and rainy in the Northern climes, eh, John?...Sunny, and a bit cool here in East Texas..... Mar 25, 2023 10:19:16 GMT -5
