clawhammer7: Golly Ken, that sounds so easy....keep that loaf pan good and greasy! :D Oct 27, 2020 1:24:56 GMT -5
kenh: clawhammer7 -- "good & greasy" it is. I use Bakers Choice spray, it's less messy. Even you can make good beer bread. Two bottles -- one for you one for the bread! Oct 27, 2020 6:03:45 GMT -5
johnknopf: "Keep ma skillet good 'n' greasy all the time, time, time, Keep ma skillet good 'n' greasy all the time!" (Uncle Dave Macon, and either the Skillet Lickers or the Fruit Jar Drinkers) Oct 27, 2020 7:31:22 GMT -5
clawhammer7: Good morning all you fans of the Traditional Appalachian Dulcimore and Beer Bread! Oct 27, 2020 8:54:55 GMT -5
johnknopf: That lets me half out... Oct 27, 2020 15:40:11 GMT -5
kenh: There's NO alcohol -- not a ghost of a drop -- left once you bake the bread, John; just interesting flavors from hops and barley and such. Same with any cooking with alcohol -- the alcohol burns off in a minute or two... Oct 27, 2020 21:50:29 GMT -5
clawhammer7: Rainy morning here, folks... Oct 28, 2020 8:23:36 GMT -5
saltsprings: Alternate bread.....3 cups self rising flour, a little sugar, 12 oz. can of sprite/lemon lime soda of some sort.........knead it up and bake that mess at 350 or so until done...........a little milk brushed on it will help brown it up. Not bad 'tal. Oct 28, 2020 15:00:26 GMT -5
saltsprings: I often cook with beer, wine or spirits, though I generally do not put it in the food. Oct 28, 2020 15:01:51 GMT -5
kenh: I use the lemon-lime soda or ginger ale with yogurt and Bisquick to make the best darn 30-minute biscuits for biscuits & gravy. Oct 28, 2020 15:44:39 GMT -5
saltsprings: Hey............that sounds like a winner Ken. I'll give that a try Oct 28, 2020 17:38:41 GMT -5
kenh: 2.5C Bisquick, .5C plain Greek Yoghurt, .5C soda. Knead into a dough. Roll out .75" thick. Cookie-cut 3" biscuits (makes about 6). Bake @425f for 15 minutes until GB&D. Oct 28, 2020 18:12:13 GMT -5
clawhammer7: Good morning dulcimore people! Some mighty good breakfast recipes in the above comments! Thanks guys! :P Oct 29, 2020 3:00:13 GMT -5
kenh: Thanx claw! Breakfast is on me. It's Thurday morning and things are lookin'up. Post-Hurricane Zeta is giving David Bennet a shower this morning on it's way to Washington DC. Nothin' in the Atlantic -- that's good! Oct 29, 2020 5:58:40 GMT -5
richard: Good morning Friends. Happy Friday. Oct 30, 2020 5:55:09 GMT -5
clawhammer7: Good morning everybody! "I'd rather have dulcimore than dulciless!"--Johann Amadeus Majetsky, 1753 Oct 30, 2020 7:14:18 GMT -5
johnknopf: A happy Friday to one and all! As they say in my business: "It is better to be seen than viewed." :) Oct 30, 2020 7:17:09 GMT -5
Bobby: Morning folks! Happy day to ya'll! Oct 30, 2020 10:24:43 GMT -5
dan: Happy Halloween! Got to work again today..... Oct 31, 2020 3:39:34 GMT -5
