Ever since I was 11 or 12 years of age, I wanted an electric guitar. When I was 17 my parents gave me an acoustic guitar which they purchased with Green Stamps (remember those?). Well, sixty years later, and having purchased two electric guitars for our son, I went off the deep end. Stewart-MacDonald had there "S" style kits on sale and I purchased one. I know I could have purchased a Fender "Squier" Strat for about $20 less already built, but what's the fun in that. Here are two photos, front and back, of the nearly completed "S" style electric guitar. I still have adjust the action at the nut and bridge and set the intonation, but everything else is done. Well, I might put a decal of name on the peg head. Maybe soon I'll back to dulcimer making although I have two dulcimers and mandolin in the shop needing attention that customers are waiting to get back.
