This is gonna be for Deborah. Other than the first dulcimore I ever built (which don't count it was so pitiful) this is my first successful try at fiddle sides. It'll be tuned DAA @ 25"vsl. Some Sassafras for the soundboard that was once someones barn. And the rest is cherry. The additional dip at the back of the fretboard is to give clearance for violin fine tuners. She also wants a train on the soundboard to honor her dad who loved trains. I hope I can pull that off! More to come, but here it is after the first coat of boiled linseed oil and turpentine:

Thanks John! Things have slowed down for me. Finishing up an order and have one more. So I thought I'd work on some for myself and family and build my Virginian. Hard to work on personal instruments when you have orders but I don't mind
